Telkom University, especially the Faculty of Informatics, plays an active role in becoming one of the providers of competent human resources in engineering and developing telematics infrastructure in the form of hardware and software through the establishment of the S1 Software Engineering Study Program.

The Undergraduate Software Engineering Study Program at Telkom University can form a forum for developing expertise that is in line with the National Telematics Industry which can support and answer national needs for ICT enabler workers, especially in the software field. The S1 Software Engineering Study Program focuses on mastering knowledge that is more focused on the application of Software Engineering, especially for large-scale systems with the software development process carried out automatically.

The dynamic movement of Information Technology (IT) innovation impacts the need for resources capable of developing software that can always keep up with increasingly complex technological trends. The Software Engineering study program combines two disciplines that play an important role in ensuring systematic programming in the development, operationalization, and maintenance of software.
