The development of information systems, particularly those designed for smart cities, has become increasingly important in response to the growing demands of urban development in the digital era. The Bachelor of Applied Smart City Information Systems is an applied undergraduate program that combines information systems expertise with the needs of smart city development. The program equips students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills through case-based and project-based learning approaches, preparing graduates to address real-world challenges in the design, implementation, and management of smart city information systems.

    The Bachelor of Applied Smart City Information Systems program prepares graduates for four key professional roles:

    • Smart City Information Systems Developer – Graduates are equipped with the skills to design, develop, and implement web-based and mobile applications that support smart city information systems.
    • Smart City Systems Analyst Assistant – Graduates are capable of identifying business needs, analyzing system requirements, and addressing challenges related to smart city information systems.
    • Junior Smart City Data Scientist – Graduates are able to model and analyze data, formulate data-driven strategies, and generate insights to improve the efficiency and performance of smart city information systems.
    • Smart City UI/UX Designer – Graduates possess the skills to design user flows, develop intuitive interfaces, and create user-friendly experiences for smart city information systems.

    To support these graduate profiles, the program offers several distinctive learning experiences, including:

    • A two-semester internship with industry partners that collaborate with Telkom University, providing students with extensive hands-on professional experience.
    • An entrepreneurship ecosystem through the Esstav-FIT (Startup Synchronization Ecosystem in the Faculty of Applied Sciences Vocational Education) program, which encourages innovation and the development of technology-based startups.
